It is a real privilege to be Headteacher of St Francis, a school community that I know and love deeply. At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: every child deserves to feel known, valued and supported, and to be given the very best opportunities to flourish.
Our vision, “Providing every child with the tools to choose their path to success,” reflects what I want for every child who comes through our doors. Success will look different for each of them, and our role is to help children discover their strengths, develop confidence and resilience, and leave St Francis believing in what they can achieve.
As a Catholic school, our faith and Gospel values shape the way we learn, lead and care for one another. Inclusion is at the heart of St Francis. We are proud of our wonderfully diverse community and are committed to ensuring that every child, whatever their starting point or individual needs, is able to participate fully, feel that they belong and achieve their very best.
We are also a school that loves music! Music is an important part of life at St Francis and something that brings our whole community together. We are very proud of the rich music provision we offer our children, giving them opportunities to sing, perform, learn instruments and experience the joy and confidence that comes from making music together.
I want St Francis to be a school of high expectations and great ambition, but also one filled with kindness, joy, creativity, belonging and love. Academic achievement matters enormously, but so too does developing compassionate, responsible young people who understand that they can make a positive difference in the world.
I believe strongly that children thrive when school, families, parish and community work together. I am incredibly proud to lead St Francis and of the children and staff who make it such a special place.
