As the Headteacher, it is a privilege to give you an insight into the vibrant life of our school, the work of our children and the quality education we deliver.

At St. Francis we are a worshipping community with Christ at its centre, nurturing spiritual growth for all. The Gospel values of love, care, reconciliation, forgiveness, justice, tolerance, courage, honesty and a sense of self worth are central to the ethos and work of the school. We are very much part of the parish of ‘Lady of the Sorrows’ and we attach great importance to the close partnership that exists between home, school and our parish. We are also an integral part of the local community and fully reflect the diverse cultural and religious backgrounds of the families who live in the area.

St. Francis is a diverse and creative community, where every individual is cherished, talents are nurtured and excellence prevails. Our aim is to provide the highest quality education for all in a caring, supportive, vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

We believe that resilience, self-discipline, honesty, courage, a love of life and kindness are the characteristics of good learners; we strive to embed and celebrate these characteristics.

We are very proud of our family atmosphere and strive to provide the highest quality of education within a secure and caring environment. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a thirst for knowledge and a lifelong love of learning.

If you would like to know more about our school, you are very welcome to come and visit.
