Pupil attendance is recorded electronically on the school administrative system.

No child may leave school for any purpose without permission from the parent. You will need to collect your child through the office on such occasions and sign him/her out. In the event of your child being absent owing to illness, please let us know on the first day of absence. The school has a ‘first day call up policy’ – this means that an enquiry as to the where your child is will take place before the end of the day.

On returning from an absence, the child must bring a note explaining the absence. These are kept on file.

All absences must be explained by an adult otherwise these absences may be regarded as unauthorised. All holidays must be taken in school holidays and not term time. Parents are given the holiday dates a year in advance and provisional dates can given two years.
